I’ve really been trying to get out of my quilting slump - honest. It has taken me more time than I’m willing to admit to get these stacked posy blocks together.
Then I tried to decide if they would look better on point?
I e-mailed my friend Joan and she didn’t think the dotted fabric was working, so I re-thunk (I’m sure that’s not a word) the whole thing and decided I’d make a wallhanging, instead of a quilt as I am getting sick of the sight of these tiny little 3” square blocks!
This is as far as I got yesterday, then while at work today I came up with an even better idea and this is what I’m doing with them now!
They are officially a UFO and I have no regrets. Life is too short to spend time on something that just isn’t working!

ROFL! You know, I think that was a good decision. Sometimes you just have to cut your losses and move on. Maybe if you leave it for a while, and come back to it with a fresh eye, some new ideas may come to you.
I haven't tried the stacked posies, but I have fabric all picked out for it when the class comes up in my area. I love the colors of yours and the tropical feel. Hope you enjoy your new project.
Oh dear, must be something wrong with me...I thought the blocks were so lovely and the second color you used to sash them really made them pop....I like it!
I think this is gorgeous!! how about a suggestion cause I would cry to see these left in a plastic box..use the ones that are sewn in a row as your outside boarder the ones that are with the rose color in the center....have 2 boarders so that you have you have the posie stacking the biege block.. it would looks awesome..get them back out and play it is to rain today and it would be perfect to go for the challenge...and just think your quilting will make it look spectacular!!!
I like them sashed ...but I don't have much need for wallhangings. I try to make everything big enough at least for a lap size donation quilt. Although I do have a few doll size quilts and I like the idea of an entire wall of those.
