Pocketful of Sunshine

Here's my Sunshine quilt finished - far from perfect, but finished. I used a new panto called Feathered Leaf which is graded an 'advanced' panto. This panto reminded me of the gorgeous feathered leaves Deb does freehand. While it wasn't hard to stitch out, it was very difficult to follow and I got lost many times along the way. It was also hard to frog as I couldn't tell what was right and what was wrong. Then logic took over and I figured if I didn't know what was right and wrong, then neither would anyone else. Since the quilt police won't be anywhere near this, I just left it the way it was.

I'm giving this to Helen, the friend who gave me my Ben picture. Just in case you missed it, here it is again! I never miss an opportunity to show off my baby.

OK, I had to run right to the computer after lunch and look at this quilt - amazingly it is the SAME panto I bought but didn't use on the Green Double 4 patch.

You are absolutely correct - this pattern is so busy that it's impossible to tell where the quilting *should* be and it looks wonderful....I think I'll give it a try on the log cabin top I finished just before my move.

It was so FUN meeting you - Keith was here in the room when I got back and since I'm normally not a social person at all he was surprised when I told him how much I'd enjoyed lunch and talking with you.
