The ugly ducking has been transformed into a beautiful swan - well, not quite, but I'm glad I stuck with this and it didn't turn into another UFO. This is one that actually looks better in person than it does in the picture - the pictures make it look brown and there isn't any brown in the whole thing!

I LIKE it! I wasn't sure when you posted the first pics of it, but you definitely saved it. That looks great!
It's very pretty! I hate when I can't get a good picture of a quilt. I always feel like I have to convince everyone that it's way cuter than the photo!
Looks good Irene. And done sometimes is good. They do grow on you after the quilting don't they.
I think it looks wonderful. You did a great job transforming it into something beautiful.
Irene I think it looks amazing! Is that your LAQ machine?? WOW!! I brought my Ugly one to a long arm I hope it gets transformed as well...LOL
I haven't read any of the history on this quilt but I sure think it looks great!
Hi Irene,
The quilt looks really lovely- it is so interesting how color "reads" differently than you know it is. I enlarged it and then you do see the green/ gold cast to the fabric rather than brown.
Either way, your quilt is going to look splendid on someone's bed . Well done...
Hope Leo has a great birthday- he has a very lovely wife to help him celebrate...
Enjoy..
Regards,
Anna
