I met Mary at her hotel today and we ventured out in the 90 degree heat to have lunch. Sandra had recommended a place - I thought I knew where it was - but it turned out Mary knew the area better than I did and she steered us in the right direction.
Mary is as lovely in person as she is on her blog and we had a nice lunch and a lovely chat. As we both agreed, quilters seem to share a special bond and the conversation flowed as we shared stories about our quilting experiences. I've admired her work for a long time - I think Mary's was one of the first blogs I started reading - so it was a really special treat to meet her in person
