Think Spring

It might be the first day of spring, but the temperature here is hovering right around the freezing mark and the wind would cut right through you. There have been snow flurries in the air all day and the gradual melting of snow that we experienced all week has come to an abrupt end with the cold weather.

This is what I've been working on this afternoon:

It is such a simple pattern but I think it's perfect for this fabric. Mary says this is her favourite charity quilt as it works up so quickly and I thank her for sharing her directions. I purchased a bolt of this fabric off Ebay at least a year ago as it just made me smile when I looked at it. I hope it will do the same for some child.

It sure feels like Friday around here as everything will be closed tomorrow for Good Friday so this is the last day of the work week. I deal with a lot of U.S. companies in my job and some of the people have a hard time figuring out our Canadian holidays. I'll always remember a lady asking me if we had Easter in Canada and I said, yes, we believe in God in Canada too!

Here's a little Easter funny for you:

A lady opened her fridge and saw a rabbit sitting on one of the shelves. "What are you doing in there?" she asked.

The rabbit replied "this is a Westinghouse isn't it?" to which the lady replied "yes".

"Well" the rabbit said, "I'm westing".

Happy Easter everyone.
